Artist Statement
As a photographer I am ever aspiring to capture that which is intriguing so as to evoke a state of wonder, or simply an emotional response; to communicate a feeling arising from that instant. My photographic process is spontaneous and intuitive, and the pictures I take are in response to a moment of inspiration.
My aim is to create an experience of heightened awareness and to allow for an instant of time to portray a universal symbol or metaphor. I seek to witness a glimpse, a fraction, which reflects a larger whole and describes not only the appearance of a particular place or person but a wider truth.
